Those of you how are followers of my Instagram account know I reframed from eating food for a day and instead drank my way through Fit n Tasty's organic and cold pressed detox juices. Why, you say? Well because once in a while the elimination of toxins and maintenance of our health and internal balance ain't the dumbest idea.
Now how did it go? Well the morning went quite smoothly. Though post afternoon lectures at Uni I have to admit I was hungry (my own fault, Fit n Tasty recommended having a light lunch but due to not quite having found my rhythm of daily uni life i.e. running late I ignored that suggestion, plus I was really full from the morning juices)! And trying to satisfy it with the 4 o'clock carrot, apple and kiwi juice didn't seem to work. Hence distraction was sought at the new COS store that just opened in Zurich. Leading to my wallet becoming as empty as my stomach. Come dinner time I was starving! And to my dismay the last juice containing pear, lettuce, celery, cucumber, parsley and lemon just didn't do the trick ( I sadly can't stand the taste of celery). I went to bed ridiculously early trying to ignore the rumbles/growls of my stomach.
So the gist of it: I definitely underestimated detoxing for one day only but am very glad I did it. Come the next day I was pleased with myself and imagine how I'd feel if I'd actually done something challenging like say more than a day.
